WHO SHOULD HAVE A MAMMOGRAM & WHEN?An annual mammogram is one of your best defenses against breast cancer. If you are a woman, you NEED a mammogram. The American Cancer Society guidelines recommend:
- Baseline examination - before age 40
- Every year - age 40 & up
Keep in mind that most women who get breast cancer do not have a family history....so regardless of your heredity get your annual mammogram.
