I'm a HUGE Rihanna fan...but I might have to think twice before I pay money to see her in concert. Watching her perform "Hard" and "Run This Town" during Jay-Z's show in LA...I'm beginning to think she's a little weak, vocally.

I'm not saying she can't sing, but for all her songs to be in a comfortable alto range...I need her to come a little HARDER!!

Que Responds to Day 26 Rumors

If you were wondering why Que has been hanging out in Chocolate city, it's because he has relocated to VA and is no longer apart of the group "Day 26." In recent celeb drama, Day 26 dropped Que from the group in response to his issues with management, "Skrewface" not Diddy.

Friday, Que went live in the studio with Soul World Entertainment ( his new management team) to address the issues, check it out.



I must say that Que is such a humble and honest dude. I meet him on a few occasions, and it's obvious that he really loves and respects his fans. During our last meeting, at the 2009 Men of Style Awards, I interviewed him and he said his mother was his manager....my how fast things change.

Anywho I'm working on getting him in the studio to do an interview on "Real Talk Radio" I'll keep you updated on that. In the mean time I wish him much success in his solo career and hope that the DMV welcomes him with open arms!!!

Giving Back During the Holiday Season

There's nothing like being in the holiday spirit and giving your community the best you have to offer....your time.

With a number of different charitable organizations working to feed and clothe the needy, the least we can do is HELP. There's an extreme need for volunteers this season, to help manage the various charitable events taking place in the DMV. Check out the list below and see what fits into your schedule and share the information with your family and friends.

Remember, Christmas isn't about giving and receiving gifts, but instead about sharing and loving one another, and being a blessing to others....even strangers!

COAT DRIVE:

• The Salvation Army will be conducting coat drive at local malls this weekend: Potomac Mills, Pentagon City, Lake Forest, and Bowie Town Center. They are looking for volunteers to staff coat donation tables at these malls on 12/19 from 11am-4pm and 12/20 from 12pm-5pm.

TOY DRIVE:

• Also, if you are attending any Washington Wizards games, there will be a toy drive at every home game. If you or anyone you know are attending any games, please bring a toy to donate at Sec. 104-105 of the Verizon Center.

• Last but not least, the Angel Tree Toy Distribution Warehouse is having a toy drive this weekend. The warehouse is located at 3335 V St. NE, DC 20018. Volunteers are needed to help manage the donation tables. If you can't volunteer your time, please feel free to drop by and make a donation.

Jennifer Hudson Goes Home for Christmas

Back, and looking better than ever, Jennifer Hudson returns to her old stomping grounds of Chicago, to spend Christmas with her family.

The Christmas special aired on ABC yesterday, but if you missed it....you I got it!

Watching this video makes me teary eyed, as I think about Jennifer's experience of losing her mother, brother and nephew. Only God can pull someone through such a tragedy and bless them with enough strength to smile again.

Jennifer is in such a happy place right now, and it shows. Her strength and courage inspires me. Just when you thought your situation was tough, think about those that have it worse than you and find happiness in the mist of triumph and peace in God's promise.

Jennifer is such an icon and positive role model and I'm so happy to see her doing well and in good spirits. This is only the beginning of her comeback. Check it out!!

Is This Chick Still Relevant?

I don't why Tierra Marie gets media coverage. Is she working on a album, movie or clothing line....I mean Real Talk. She must still be eating off her one hit single "How To Make a Girl Feel" because I don't see how she made this far without going bankrupt. Maybe she's ghost writing for someone...who knows!!

Anywho Tierra was spotted at Opera Nightclub in L.A. celebrating her 22nd birthday. While she looks cute...I'm not impressed.....don't ask why I blogged about her...its irrelevant.

No more camel toes for Nikki!! Anyone who seen her last club performance knows what I'm talking about (lol). Ms. Barbie looked stunning as she stepped on the set of 106 & Park yesterday, to perform her collabo single with Robin Thicke, "Shaking It For Daddy."

I'm so feeling Nikki....she brings me hope for the female rap game. After Eve fell off and Lil Kim started dancing with the starz....I felt neglected....and as much as I like Trina, she wasn't holding it down.

Well for a three piece meal at Popeyes, Cameron agreed to spit a few lines on the Clipse's comeback single. Dressed in a blue and white flannel shirt....a jagged beard and munching on french fries, Cameron made his guest appearance, and my was I surprised. Take a look:

Can Monica Do It Again?

Her style remains fabulous, her voice is still strong, but will Monica top the charts and reclaim her crown in the music industry? I don't think so.

If you watched episode 6 of Monica's BET series "Monica Still Standing" then you know what I'm talking about. During this episode Monica performed and sampled a few songs she's working on for the release of her new highly anticipated album. While her vocals still ring the bells of heaven, the lyrics and tracks she's working with are WEAK.

The tempo on every track sounds the same...and it's lacking major flavor. With hot artists in the game like Rihanna, Beyonce, and Keri Hilson, Monica needs to do a little more to get peoples attention. I wish she would call Kanye, Timberland, Swizz Beatz, or the Neptunes to make her a hot track, because that 1990's flavor is not gonna get it..

I'm a big Monica fan....and I'm happy to see her back on the scene. I hope she finds direction and a good manager (not a friend/fan) to help her reinvent herself to be competitive in today's market. At the rate she's going...the BET series might be the best thing she has to offer.

Melanie Fiona Depresses Me....

With her latest single...."It Kills Me." Hated it!!!!!



I mean really...this song is absolutely pathetic. Fiona sounds real desperate and thirsty on this track...it's not a good look and I don't like the message its delivering. I don't know about you, but she lost me at the last sentence of the first verse, "I can't be alone...I need you to come on home...I know your messing around...but who the hell else is gonna hold me down."

This is exactly why I love female artists like Beyoncé. Her music is always motivating and encouraging for women to see the value in themselves and to never settle for less.....I.E. "Irreplaceable," "Me, Myself & I," "Free," need I say more...

Don't get me wrong, I like Fiona. She's a beautiful, talented woman, but this song is not doing it for me...sorry boo!

I'm Back....

After being on hiatus or a few weeks.... celebrating my 27th birthday and Thanksgiving Holiday kept me busy....but now that I've had a chance to regroup, refocus and rest...I'm ready for war.

I'm working on some new projects and would love your feedback and support. I'll be opening the new year with a new television production called "UNCUT" which will give viewers a behind the scenes glance at various events and social affairs. It isn't reality TV...but UNCUT real TV....clips that most editors delete. Stay tuned for more details and when the pilot show will air.

Real Talk Radio is doing well, and is now being broadcast on two stations, WEBR and BlogTalkRadio. For all of my listeners that had a hard time tuning into WEBR...Blogtalk is a good way to channel in and catch up on shows you've missed.

In addition to that I'm moving forward with my production company, Media Star Productions. I've been working on several events for myself and in conjunction with EZ Street from 93.9 WKYS. If you or anyone you know is in need a videographer and/or editor...let me know.
