Neffe Steps It Up!!

Keyshia Cole's sister Neffe used to look a-hot-shity-mess when she first starred on Keyshia's show "The Way It Is." But after a few seasons, a few pay checks, and a few trips to the gym and the hair salon, Neffie sure cleaned up nice!!!

Uh Oh....Is that a ring on Neffe's finger....Whoever was crazy enough to put a ring on it......better be man enough to handle it.....I know she looks good and all, but the girl still has some issues.....you know how the saying goes..."You can take the girl out the hood, but you can't take the hood out the girl." Don't hurt nobody Neffe...and please don't have any more babies.....

Steve Harvey's New Book

For all the ladies having relationship problems, or are interested in learning a little more about men, then you may want to check out Steve Harvey's new book "Act Like a Lady - Think Like a Man."

The title speaks for itself. The book is about intimacy, commitment and what women need to do to better understand men and their actions.

According to Ms. Aretha Franklin, " Women should listen to Steve Harvey when it comes to what a good man is about. Steve Harvey dispenses a lot of fabulous information about men. It's more than what the average man would tell you. Steve will give it up."

I don't know about you but I'm definitely interested to see what fabulous information Steve has to offer.....The book hit stores early this month, and is apparently doing fairly well. I'm planning to stop by Borders today and pick up a copy. So I'll keep you updated with any tips and remedies Steve suggests......hopefully something we don't already know.

The Life of Aaliyah.....Movie Coming Soon

It has been reported that Warner Brother Films will be creating the motion picture of the late singer and actress Aaliyah who died in a plane crash in 2001. Aaliyah sold more than 32 million albums worldwide before her career was cut short. The film will be a biopic of the singers life. Bill Condon, director of “DreamGirls” will be directing the film.

“We are going to great extremities to make this movie perfect. We have Chante in extensive training studying, speaking with family members, watching personal footage and in choreography training with Aaliyah’s choreographer and dear friend Fatima Robinson. This movie will be seamless the same way it was for Selena fans who enjoyed Jennifer Lopez. I can promise Aaliyah fans that this movie will be ten notches higher.”

A source for the film reveals that they “will be going very deep into Aaliyah’s life” and will allow fans to see the “most intimate side of Aaliyah’s legacy.” Sources say the script for the film ‘holds no bars’ and will go as far as touching on the subject of Aaliyah’s highly debated and publicized marriage and annulment to producer R.Kelly.

It has also been confirmed Aaliyah’s colleagues will be featured in the film. Her choreographer Fatima Robinson, Producer and friends, Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Ginuwine, even world renowed music video director Hype Williams will be apart of the film and help re-create the “Rock The Boat” video set which was the last video Aaliyah ever shot. The movie is tentative to start production end of March and is rumored to have a production budget of over 80 million dollars."

J-Hudson......Coming Soon

If you were expecting to see Jennifer Hudson perform at the Inauguration, you weren't the only one. Rumors that Jennifer was invited to sing the National Anthem emerged several weeks before the event....but unfortunately Jennifer did not perform. She was however present, among the millions on the Washington Mall, to witness the Inauguration of Barack Obama. For reasons unknown, Ms. Hudson did not sing.

You can however look forward to seeing Jennifer at the 51st Annual Grammy's Awards, where Ms. Hudson is nominated for three Grammys -- Best Female R&B Vocal Performance ("Spotlight"), Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals ("I'm His Only Woman," featuring Fantasia), and Best R&B Album.

This performance will be Hudson's third time hitting the stage since the death of her family members. Her first performance will be at the Superbowl in Tampa Florida, February 1.

HATER By: Maya Angelou

"A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their

time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.
They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever
good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing
you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be
like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they
have...

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they
don't know my story...

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you
can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Start your own business
d) Tell a man / woman to hit the curb
(if he / she isn't about the right thing)

e) Raise your children without both
parents being in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.
Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be
on our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters?
You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are
*(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not
mean having a job. You can have a job and still be
unfulfilled.

A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.
Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine
prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when its your
time to leave this earth, you 'want' to be able to say, 'I've lived my
life and fulfilled 'my' dreams,... Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, 'Don't look at
me...Look at Who is in charge of me..."
